Bodegas Vinícola Real is a prestigious family winery founded in 1989 by Miguel Ángel Rodríguez in Albelda de Iregua, La Rioja. The winery is internationally renowned for its 200 Monges brand, named in honor of the 200 monks of the historic Monastery of San Martín de Albelda, who handwrote the Codex Vigilanus in 976 AD.

This 2001 Reserva is a blend of 85% Tempranillo, 10% Graciano, and 5% Mazuelo. It was aged in both French and American oak barrels.

The magnum bottle is in excellent condition and has been kept in a temperature-controlled wine cellar.

Older vintages of 200 Monges are difficult to find due to high demand and limited production.
