La Rioja Alta S.A. was founded in 1890 in the La Estación district of Haro by five Basque and Rioja winegrowers. Today, the wines from this winery are produced and aged in two wineries, one in Haro and the other in Labastida, which complement each other. The prestigious brands of the winery are: Gran Reserva 890, Gran Reserva 904, Viña Ardanza, Viña Arana and Viña Alberdi.

Club de Cosecheros was established in 1976, offering entire barrels (240 bottles) or half barrels (120 bottles) to individuals or companies.

This 1986 Reserva bottle is kept in excellent condition, with the liquid level practically at the neck.
