Starting price 45 €
Perelada's history of creating a Gran Reserva Especial to commemorate a high-profile marriage trace back to the historic royal wedding of King Baudouin of Belgium and Fabiola de Mora y Aragón on December 15, 1960.
To honor their marriage, a Perelada Gran Reserva was specially selected for the royal banquet. The winery continues to produce this commemorative wine today under the name Balduino y Fabiola (Special Selection), featuring the exact same label design originally used at the 1960 wedding.
It is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (32%), Garnacha negra (27%), Merlot (22%), and Samsó (14%), with small touches of Syrah and Monastrell.
Aged for 16 months in Bordeaux barrels (split evenly between French Allier oak and fine American oak), followed by further refinement in the bottle.
We estimate these bottles are from the 1970s, early 1980s.
Bottles are in good condition with levels at the base of the neck.
Transport Cost equivalent to 3 bottles.
