Red wine from the historic CVNE (Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España) winery, founded in 1879 in Haro, Rioja. This is a classic wine of the Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin (DOCa Rioja), especially appreciated by lovers of wines that have spent many years aging in the bottle due to their excellent aging potential. At All Drinks Auction, we are passionate about wines such as the Imperial 1970 Gran Reserva from this renowned winery and about one of the great icons of Spanish wine, Imperial Gran Reserva.

The bottle is in acceptable condition, with a slightly stained label. Fill level is at the upper shoulder.

The blend is 75% Tempranillo, 15% Graciano and 10% Mazuelo.

Aged in American oak barrels for more than 40 months, followed by a bottle-aging period of at least 72 months in the winery's underground cellars before release. Imperial is produced only in years with exceptional harvests.
