La Rioja Alta S.A. is one of the oldest wineries in La Rioja. Founded in the 19th century, specifically in 1890, it is one of the most historic and prestigious wineries in the Spanish wine world. Its brands are synonymous with outstanding quality. The winery has been a pioneer in the production of fine wines for more than 125 years. Among its most renowned wines are the Gran Reserva 904 and Gran Reserva 890. Other notable labels from the winery include Viña Arana, Viña Ardanza, and Viña Alberdi.

The 200 vintage in the DOCa Rioja appellation was officially rated as Excellent.
