Alvaro Palacios is undoubtedly the most prominent and influential oenologist in Spain. He arrived in Priorat in 1989, alongside René Barbier, and together they revitalized an area rich in history but previously neglected. Within a short period, the wines produced by Alvaro Palacios gained worldwide recognition, becoming the flagship of the Denomination. Alvaro Palacios has been an inspiration for many young oenologists in the Spanish wine scene.

Priorat is a special, mystical place, with its magical slate soil, Licorella, and those dizzying slopes where machinery cannot reach and everything must be done as our ancestors did.
