The origins of the century-old winery Marqués de Murrieta date back to 1852, when Don Luciano de Murrieta built the Castillo de Ygay on his estate and produced the first Rioja wine. Since 1983, the Cebrián family has carried on its legacy of innovation, quality, and excellence, helping establish it as one of the world's most prestigious wineries.

A classic blend composed of 49% Tempranillo, 19% Garnacha, 17% Mazuelo, and 15% Graciano.

This historic oenological jewel underwent an extraordinary period of aging. It spent 8 months in large vats, followed by 5 years in partially filled American oak barrels and an impressive additional 33 years in old neutral American oak casks. It was not bottled until April 1964 and was finally released to the market in 1973, accumulating nearly half a century between harvest and commercial release.

Bottle in fair preservation condition. Label slightly stained. Fill level at the upper shoulder.
