A centenary winery of the DOCa Rioja located in Haro, widely regarded as the capital of Rioja wine. This historic winery, founded in 1895, has maintained a steadfast commitment to the quality of fine Rioja wines since its inception.

On the back label, we can see that this Reserva Especial from the winery is classified as a Gran Reserva.

During the 1950s, Rioja produced outstanding wines that still delight palates today thanks to their great ageing potential.

The All Drinks Auction team regularly tastes Riojas from the 1950s, and wineries such as Martínez Lacuesta are a very safe bet when opening bottles from this period.

The bottle is in acceptable condition, with a slightly stained label and the wine level at the high shoulder.
