Pago de Carraovejas is one of the most prestigious wineries in the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin. It was founded in 1987 by José María Ruiz. The first vintage, in 1991, produced from just 70,000 kilograms of grapes harvested from 25 hectares of vineyards in production, marked the beginning of Pago de Carraovejas. From the outset, demand greatly exceeded production, and the wines were sold under very limited allocations. Since 2007, his son, Pedro Ruiz, has led the winery, expanding into other regions of the Iberian Peninsula and developing it into one of the leading wine groups both nationally and internationally.

This wine is a blend of 93% Tinto Fino, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2% Merlot. It was aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels, clarified with natural egg white, and bottled in April 2013.

The bottle is in very good condition and has been stored in a temperature-controlled wine cellar.

Older vintages of Pago de Carraovejas are difficult to find due to high demand and limited production.
