Pago de Carraovejas is one of the most prestigious wineries in the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin. It was founded in 1987 by José María Ruiz. The first vintage, in 1991, produced from just 70,000 kilograms of grapes harvested from 25 hectares of vineyards in production, marked the beginning of Pago de Carraovejas. From the outset, demand greatly exceeded supply, and the wines were sold under very limited allocation. Since 2007, his son, Pedro Ruiz, has led the winery, expanding into other regions of the Iberian Peninsula and transforming the company into one of the benchmark wine groups not only in Spain but also internationally.

El Añejón de la Cuesta de las Liebres is one of the winery’s most exclusive wines. It is produced only in exceptional vintages. The grapes come from terraces and plots with limestone-rich loam soils situated at an altitude of 900 meters.

Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, it is a blend of 93% Tinto Fino, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 1% Merlot.

Magnum in perfect condition. Stored in a temperature-controlled wine cellar.
