Pago de Carraovejas is one of the most prestigious wineries in the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin. It was founded in 1987 by José María Ruiz. The first vintage, produced in 1991 from just 70,000 kilos of grapes harvested from 25 hectares of vineyards in production, marked the beginning of Pago de Carraovejas. From the outset, demand far exceeded production, and the wines were sold through highly limited allocations. Since 2007, the winery has been led by his son, Pedro Ruiz, who has expanded the business into other regions of the Iberian Peninsula, turning it into one of the leading wine groups not only nationally but also internationally.

Wine sourced from the winery's highest vineyards, located at over 850 meters above sea level. Aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels.
