Bodegas Franco-Españolas is a historic, century-old winery founded in 1890 and located on the banks of the Ebro River in the urban center of Logroño, La Rioja. Founded by Bordeaux native Frederic Anglade Saurat. It was born out of a collaboration between French winemakers and Spanish shareholders when the phylloxera pest devastated France’s vineyards. The French partners sold their shares in 1920, rendering it entirely Spanish-owed. It has been owned by the Eguizàbal family since 1984.

1994 vintage was rated as Excellent in the DOCa. Rioja

It is a blend of mainly Tempranillo with a small percentage of Garnacha, Mazuelo and Graciano.
