The Teeling distillery was opened in 2015 in Dublin (Ireland) by the Teeling brothers, Jack and Stephen. It was the first distillery to open in Dublin in the past 125 years. The Teeling family has a long history in the world of whiskey. Their father, Jack Teeling, was the owner of the Cooley distillery, which was bought by the giant Beam Suntory. As part of the sale, the Teeling family secured a large quantity of matured whiskey, which was labelled with the Teeling Distillery brand until they released their first whiskey produced at the Dublin distillery.

This bottle was matured in oak casks that previously held bourbon (Bourbon Cask). It was filled in 2002 and bottled in 2016.
