Founded in 1864 by Eloy Lecanda and managed by the Álvarez family since 1982, Vega Sicilia is Spain's most iconic winery and undoubtedly one of the finest in the world. Since 1915, Único and Valbuena have been cult wines among enthusiasts of great wines. Today, Tempos Vega Sicilia is the parent company managing the group's wineries, which, in addition to the original estate, include four other wineries: Alión, Pintia, Macán, and Tokaj-Oremus.

Valbuena 5º Año undergoes a total aging period of five years in both oak barrels and bottle. It is aged in 225-liter American and French oak barrels and fermented in large wooden vats.

The bottle is in excellent condition. It comes from a collection stored in a wine cellar under controlled-temperature conditions.
