Founded in 1864 by Eloy Lecanda and managed by the Álvarez family since 1982, Vega Sicilia is Spain’s most iconic winery and undoubtedly one of the finest in the world. Since 1915, Único and Valbuena have been cult wines among lovers of great wines. Today, Tempos Vega Sicilia is the parent company that manages the group’s wineries, which include, in addition to the original estate, four others: Alión, Pintia, Macán, and Tokaj-Oremus.

Valbuena 5th Year undergoes a total ageing period of five years in barrel and bottle. It is matured in 225-liter American and French oak barrels and fermented in large wooden vats.
