Bodegas Rafael López de Heredia Viña Tondonia was founded in 1877 in Haro by Don Rafael López de Heredia. This historic winery represents the purest classical tradition of the Rioja Designation of Origin. Since its beginnings, it has remained a family-owned estate and is currently managed by the fourth generation, represented by the three López Heredia Montoya siblings (María José, Mercedes, and Julio). Bodegas López de Heredia uses grapes grown in its own vineyards, acquired by the founder's great-grandfather. Faithful to tradition, the winery follows artisanal winemaking methods, fermenting in wooden vats, carrying out manual racking, and aging its wines for exceptionally long periods in both barrel and bottle. López de Heredia crafts its own barrels by hand and is the only winery in Spain with its own cooperage workshop. Its red, white, and even rosé wines are renowned for their extraordinary longevity. Without a doubt, López de Heredia wines are highly valued, highly sought after, and considered essential in the cellar of any wine enthusiast or wine professional.

This wine is a blend of 75% Tempranillo, 15% Garnacha, and 10% Graciano and Mazuelo.

The bottles are in very good condition, with fill levels at the base of the neck. The bottles have been stored in a wine cellar under constant, controlled temperature conditions.
