Bodegas Rafael López de Heredia Viña Tondonia was founded in 1877 in Haro by Don Rafael López de Heredia. This historic winery represents the purest classical tradition of the Rioja Designation of Origin. Since its beginnings, it has remained a family estate and is currently managed by the fourth generation, represented by the three López Heredia Montoya siblings (María José, Mercedes and Julio). The winery uses grapes grown in its own vineyards, acquired by the founder's great-grandfather. Faithful to tradition, they follow artisanal winemaking methods, fermenting in wooden vats, carrying out manual rackings, and aging their wines for exceptionally long periods in barrels and bottles. López de Heredia manufactures its own barrels by hand and is the only winery in Spain with its own cooperage workshop. Its red, white, and even rosé wines are renowned for their extraordinary longevity. Without a doubt, López de Heredia wines are highly valued, sought after, and considered essential in the cellar of any wine enthusiast or professional.

It is a blend of 75% Tempranillo, 15% Garnacha, and 10% Graciano and Mazuelo.

The bottle is in excellent condition, with the fill level at the neck. It has been stored in a wine cellar under constant, controlled temperature conditions.
