Bodegas Rafael López de Heredia Viña Tondonia was founded in 1877 in Haro by Don Rafael López de Heredia. This historic winery represents the purest classical tradition of the Rioja Designation of Origin. Since its beginnings, it has remained a family-owned estate and is currently managed by the fourth generation, represented by the three López Heredia Montoya siblings (María José, Mercedes, and Julio). The winery uses grapes grown in its own vineyards, acquired by the founder’s great-grandfather. Faithful to tradition, it follows artisanal winemaking methods, including fermentation in wooden vats, manual racking, and exceptionally long ageing periods in both barrel and bottle. López de Heredia makes its own barrels by hand and is the only winery in Spain with its own cooperage workshop. Its red, white, and even rosé wines are renowned for their extraordinary longevity. Without doubt, López de Heredia wines are highly valued, sought after, and considered essential in the cellar of any wine enthusiast or professional.

This wine is a blend of 70% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha, and 10% Graciano and Mazuelo.

The bottle is in excellent condition, with the fill level at the neck. It has been stored in a wine cellar under constant, controlled temperature conditions.
