Bodegas Rafael López de Heredia Viña Tondonia was founded in 1877 in Haro by Don Rafael López de Heredia. This centenary winery embodies the purest classicism within the Rioja Denomination of Origin. Family-run from the start, it is now managed by the fourth generation, represented by the three López Heredia Montoya siblings (María José, Mercedes and Julio). The López de Heredia vineyards supply all their grapes, originally acquired by their great-grandfather. Faithful to tradition, they uphold their commitment to artisanal production, fermenting in wooden vats, manual rackings, and long ageing periods both in barrel and bottle. López de Heredia handcrafts its own barrels, being the only winery in Spain with its own cooperage workshop. Their red, white, and even rosé wines are recognised for their exceptional longevity. Without doubt, López de Heredia wines are highly appreciated, sought after, and considered essential in any collection, whether by wine enthusiasts or professionals.

Viña Tondonia Reserva Blanco is made from Viura and Malvasía grapes, aged for six long years in oak barrels crafted by the winery itself, and subjected to two rackings per year. It is bottled unfiltered and left to rest in the cellars before being released for sale.
