Waterford distillery was established recently, in 2015. Its founder, Mark Reiner, introduced the concept of ‘Terroir’ by working with different cereal producers from various parts of Ireland, applying organic and even biodynamic methods. The distillery closed in 2024. In 2026, Tennessee Distilling Group purchased the distillery with plans to reopen it.

Barley comes from Lakefield, West of Durrow. County Laois, the farm stands on ondulated lowlands farm by the enigmatic Seamus Duggan.
