Walsh Whiskey is a prominent independent Irish whiskey company famous for creating the award -winning premium brands Writers Tears and The Irishman. Founded in 1999 by Bernard and Rosemary Walsh in County Carlow, the company focuses on recreating historic 19^th -century styles of triple distilled Irish single malts and pot still blend.

Writers Tears Japanese Cask Strength is limited edition release, the whisky has been aged and finished in the ultra-famous Mizunara oak. Initially aged in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, then is finished 9 months in exceptionally rare Japanese Mizunara oak cask sourced from the foothills of Mount Fuji.
