Dominio de Atauta is a renowned winery founded in 2000 in the exclusive Atauta Valley (Soria), within the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin. It is world-renowned for housing one of the oldest pre-phylloxera vineyard collections in Europe, with vines between 85 and 150 years old. Another defining characteristic of the wines is their extreme altitude; the vineyards are situated between 940 and 1010 meters above sea level, making it one of the coolest and highest areas in the entire Ribera del Duero region.

They work a mosaic of more than 600 small plots spread across just 45 hectares. Although the soil profiles vary, they all share an underground calcareous bedrock that gives the wine an intense minerality.

Valdegatiles 2013 is a single-vineyard wine with limited production. It comes exclusively from just 1.09 hectares divided into 9 micro-plots. The vines are Tinto Fino, planted on their own rootstock (pre-phylloxera) and over 100 years old. A TRUE ENOLOGICAL GEM.
