Bodegas Fariña is a historic family winery founded in 1942 in the province of Zamora, within the Toro Designation of Origin. It is recognized for transforming the reputation of Toro wines. They primarily cultivate the local grape variety Tinta de Toro (a clone of Tempranillo).


Gran Colegiata Gran Reserva 1989 is 100% Tempranillo and has been aged in American oak barrels for 30 months.


Wines from Toro are generally characterized by their power and structure, and they have a long aging potential.
