La Rioja Alta S.A. is one of the oldest wineries in La Rioja. Founded in the 19th century, specifically in 1890, it is one of the most historic and prestigious wineries in the Spanish wine industry. Its brands are synonymous with outstanding quality. The winery has been a pioneer in the production of fine wines for more than 125 years. Among its most notable wines are the Gran Reserva 904 and Gran Reserva 890. Other well-known labels from the winery include Viña Arana, Viña Ardanza, and Viña Alberdi.

The 2009 vintage was rated Very Good by the DOCa Rioja regulatory council.

This wine is a blend of 90% Tempranillo from vineyards over 60 years old and 10% Graciano. The wine was aged for 4 years in the winery’s own oak barrels. The final blend was bottled in November 2014.

Bottle in excellent state of preservation. Kept in a temperature-controlled wine cellar.
