La Rioja Alta S.A. is one of the oldest wineries in La Rioja. Founded in 1890, it is one of the most historic and prestigious wineries in the Spanish wine world. Its brands are synonymous with outstanding quality. The winery has been a pioneer in producing fine wines for more than 125 years. Among its most notable wines are the Gran Reserva 904 and Gran Reserva 890. Other important labels from the winery include Viña Arana, Viña Ardanza, and Viña Alberdi.

The 2010 vintage is regarded by the winery as one of the best of this century.

This wine is a blend of 90% Tempranillo from vineyards over 60 years old and 10% Graciano. It was aged for four years in custom-made oak barrels. The final blend was bottled in July 2015.

The bottle is in excellent condition and has been stored in a temperature-controlled wine cellar.
