Bodegas Luis Cañas is a family-owned winery located in Villabuena, within the Rioja Alavesa sub-region. The Cañas family has been involved in the wine industry for four generations. The winery was founded in 1970, when they began bottling and marketing their own wines. Prior to that date, they sold their wine in bulk to other producers in the area.

Reserva 2016 is a blend of 95% Tempranillo and 5% Graciano. The average age of the vineyards is 40 years. The wine was aged for 18 months in American and French oak barrels and bottled in June 2019.
