Remírez de Ganuza Winery was founded in 1989 and is located in the heart of Samaniego, a village in the Rioja Alavesa region. The estate owns 80 hectares of vineyards distributed across more than 200 plots in nine municipalities on the foothills of the Sierra Cantabria mountain range: Labastida, San Vicente de la Sonsierra, Ábalos, Samaniego, Leza, Elciego, Navaridas, Laguardia, and Elvillar.

Since its inception, Remírez de Ganuza has been renowned for its innovation, both in the vineyard and in the winery.

María Remírez de Ganuza is a special limited edition released by Fernando Remírez de Ganuza as a tribute to his daughter, who died in a traffic accident. The proceeds from this wine are dedicated to charitable causes. The 2023 vintage was the first edition released.
