Bodegas Riojanas is a centenary winery founded in 1890 in Cenicero, Rioja Alta. They produce wines under historic brands such as Monte Real and Viña Albina. The wines from Bodegas Riojanas fall within what is known as Classic Rioja wines.

The fermentation was carried out in large wooden vats, followed by aging for 36-40 months in American oak barrels and a further 24-30 months in the winery’s cellars before being released to the market.

The 1994 vintage was rated as excellent in the DOCa Rioja.
