Bodegas Montebaco is a prestigious family-run winery located in the heart of the Ribera del Duero, in the village of Valbuena de Duero and, to be more precise, in an area called Finca Alto at an altitude of 900 metres. Founded in 1987 by Manuel Esteban, the winery is now managed by the second generation of the family.

Montebaco produces wines of outstanding quality with great ageing potential. They own 50 hectares of vineyard in what is known as the Golden Mile of the Ribera del Duero, where the most prestigious and cutting-edge wineries of the appellation can be found, while still preserving tradition.

The bottle is in perfect condition, with a neck-level fill, practically as if just taken from the cellar.

The 1994 vintage is the first one the winery released to the market. It is made from 100% Tinto Fino and aged in the finest French oak barrels.
