La Rioja Alta S.A. is one of the oldest wineries in Rioja. Founded in the 19th century, specifically in 1890, it is one of the most historic and prestigious wineries in the Spanish wine world. Its brands are synonymous with high quality. The winery has been a pioneer in the production of fine wines for more than 125 years. Among its range, the 'Gran Reserva 904' and 'Gran Reserva 890' stand out. Other notable brands from the winery include Viña Arana, Viña Ardanza, and Viña Alberdi.

Viña Arana Gran Reserva is made from 95% Tempranillo and 5% Mazuelo. Aged in American oak for 3 years. The grapes for the Tempranillo come from the El Palo and Las Monjas vineyards, acquired by the winery in 1973, while the Graciano comes from the Montecillo Estate. Bottled in March 2016.

The bottle is in excellent condition, with the fill level at the neck of the bottle.
