Bodegas Rafael López de Heredia Viña Tondonia was founded in 1877 in Haro by Don Rafael López de Heredia. This hundred-year-old winery embodies the purest classical concept of the Rioja Designation of Origin. A family-run winery since its beginnings, it is now managed by the fourth generation, represented by the three López Heredia Montoya siblings (María José, Mercedes and Julio). López de Heredia sources grapes from its own vineyards, acquired by their great-grandfather. Staying true to tradition, they favour artisanal production methods, with fermentation in wooden vats, manual racking and very long ageing periods in barrel and bottle. López de Heredia also crafts its own barrels by hand, making it the only winery in Spain with its own barrel workshop. All their wines - reds, whites and even rosés - have a remarkable ageing potential. Without doubt, López de Heredia’s wines are highly regarded, sought after and a must in the cellar of any wine enthusiast or professional.

Viña Gravonia 2013 white is made entirely from the Viura grape variety. Aged for 4 years in oak barrels crafted by the winery itself, and subjected to two rackings per year. Bottled unfiltered and left to rest in the winery’s cellars before release.
