Bodegas Rafael López de Heredia Viña Tondonia was founded in 1877 in Haro by Don Rafael López de Heredia. This century-old winery embodies the purest classical tradition of the Rioja Designation of Origin. A family-run winery since its beginnings, it is now managed by the fourth generation, represented by the three López Heredia Montoya siblings (María José, Mercedes and Julio). López de Heredia sources its grapes from its own vineyard, acquired by their great-grandfather. Staying true to tradition, they are committed to artisanal production, with fermentations in wooden vats, manual rackings, and very lengthy maturation periods in barrel and bottle. López de Heredia crafts its own barrels by hand, making it the only winery in Spain with its own barrel-making workshop. All their wines—red, white and even rosé—have an exceptional capacity for ageing. Without doubt, López de Heredia wines are highly appreciated, coveted, and should not be missing from the cellar of any wine enthusiast or professional.

Viña Gravonia 2014 White is made with 100% Viura grapes. It is aged for 4 years in oak barrels crafted by the winery itself and undergoes two rackings per year. Bottled unfiltered and rested in the cellars before being released for sale.
