Bodegas Carlos Serres is a centenary winery founded in 1896 and located in Haro La Rioja). The winery is named after its founder, Carlos Serres. Originally from France, Carlos Serres settled in La Rioja in 1885, fleeing phylloxera which devastated French vineyards. From the outset, he had an export-driven vision and was one of the leading figures in promoting Rioja wine abroad; in fact, it was the first winery registered as an exporter.

Today, the owners of the winery are the Vivanco family, who continue the legacy of Carlos Serres.

This 1970 Gran Reserva is made mainly from Tempranillo, with a small percentage of Graciano and Mazuelo. The vintage is considered excellent.

The bottle is well preserved, the label is slightly stained and the liquid level is approximately 3cm.
