La Rioja Alta SA is one of the oldest wineries in the Rioja region. Founded in the 19th century, specifically in 1890, it is one of the most historic and prestigious wineries in the Spanish wine world. Its brands are synonymous with outstanding quality. The winery has been a pioneer in producing fine wines for more than 125 years. Among its flagship wines are the “Gran Reserva 904” and “Gran Reserva 890.” Other notable labels from the winery include Viña Arana, Viña Ardanza, and Viña Alberdi.

The 2005 vintage was officially rated Excellent.

This wine is a blend of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano, sourced from vineyards over 40 years old in the areas of Briñas, Labastida, and Villalba.

The 2005 vintage was bottled in November 2010.
